FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
WABC-TV Announces Broadway Backstage: Fall Preview
October 21, 2008
Join Eyewitness News anchor, Michelle Charlesworth and co-host, Tom Wopat, star of “Chicago” for Broadway Backstage: Fall Preview on Saturday, October 25th at 7:30p on WABC-TV.
This is the only show that gives a complete line-up of all the new offerings on Broadway from gripping dramas to big budget musicals; from Equus, The Seagull, All My Sons and 2 Mamet plays to Shrek, Billy Elliot and 13 the Musical just to name a few.
Plus, we’ll hear from the big name stars who are taking the stage, including; Daniel Radcliffe (a.k.a. Harry Potter) John Lithgow, Frank Langella, Jeremy Piven, Elizabeth Moss, John Leguizamo, Sutton Foster and Gerald McRaney.
Plus, we’ll take you backstage for an insider’s look. 39 Steps, the Hitchcock inspired farce may only have a cast of 4 but they play dozens of characters and we see how it all happens with quick changes and precision timing.
Broadway Barks is a pet charity of stars Bernadette Peters and Mary Tyler Moore. We’ll see how, with the help of big Broadway names, they try to match up homeless pets and owners. Wicked is celebrating it’s 5th block buster year on Broadway but even if you’ve seen the show, you may not know about Behind the Emerald Curtain, a tour for those wickedly obsessed. We’ll take you along.
