Commercial Theater Institute 2014 Spring Season Announced

Tom Viertel, Executive Director of CTI, has announced the Commercial Theater Institute's 2014 Spring Season. CTI is the theatre industry's leading training and professional development program. It covers a wide range of topics, and features over 100 of the most distinguished industry professionals as lecturers and panelists including many Tony Award winning producers. CTI programs include a 14-week program that explores producing in depth, a 3-day intensive introduction to producing and half-day or one day workshops on specialized topics.

Mr. Viertel said, "We're very excited about this year's courses. Future producers and investors can learn from and interact with theater owners, TonyAward â - winning producers and creative teams, advertising, marketing and financial executives. These are valuable lessons on every aspect of producing and a chance to get to know many of the people who are leaders in the Broadway community."

7th Annual CTI-O'Neill Summer Workshop: A Producing Practicum

Wednesday, July 9 - Friday, July 11, 2014- 3-day intensive

Teams of participants study advanced topics in producing and develop business plans for a selection of plays and musicals at the O'Neill Summer Conference in Connecticut. The workshop is a mixture of lectures, one-on-one sessions, interaction with writers and directors, and group discussion. The curriculum and setting provide a unique opportunity to interact with artists and understand the process of creative development.
