Performers Announced For Stars In The Alley On Wednesday May 27th

STARS IN THE ALLEY, presented by United Airlines, will take place on Wednesday, May 27th from 10:30am-12:30pm in Shubert Alley, between Broadway and 8th Avenue and 44th and 45th Streets.

Stars in the Alley will be hosted by Darren Criss who is currently playing Hedwig in the 2014 Tony Award®-winning Best Musical Revival, Hedwig and the Angry Inch.

Aladdin 's Tony Award-winning "Genie," James Monroe Iglehart, will be on hand to cover the concert LIVE on Twitter and Instagram! @jamesmiglehart on Twitter and @jmiglehart on Instagram will bring fans both exclusive backstage access and a unique perspective on all that's happening on stage and in the audience at this year's concert.

Commissioner Cynthia López, Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment, will kick off the event.

"The Stars in the Alley concert is the perfect way to celebrate Broadway's lasting impact to New York City. Broadway and our local theatrical community contribute nearly $12 billion to the City's economy and support 87,000 jobs, and this concert will give the public a unique opportunity to see their favorite performers live outside in the very heart of the theatre district," said Commissioner Cynthia López, Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment.

"The city is Broadway's home. It's exciting to be able to go to Shubert Alley and see appearances and performances from many of this year's Tony Award-nominated plays and musicals, along with exceptional talent from our long-running favorite shows. The concert will no doubt have you dancing in the streets!" said Charlotte St. Martin, Executive Director of The Broadway League.

To add to the festivities leading up to the Tony Awards, the free outdoor concert in the heart of the Theatre District will celebrate Broadway with star appearances and exciting performances from over 20 new shows and long-running favorites, accompanied by a 12-piece live orchestra, including many of this year's 2015 Tony Award® - nominated plays and musicals!

2015 Tony nominated actors/actresses scheduled to appear include: Tony Yazbeck (On the Town), Julie White and K. Todd Freeman (Airline Highway), Alex Sharp (The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time),Ben Miles, Lydia Leonard, and Nathaniel Parker (Wolf Hall Parts One & Two), Sydney Lucas (Fun Home), Christian Borle (Something Rotten!), Andy Karl (On the Twentieth Century),Micah Stock (It's Only A Play) as well as performances from 2015 Tony Award-nominated musicals including: Fun Home, On the Town, On the Twentieth Century, Something Rotten!, and The Visit.
