Stars in the Alley is a FREE outdoor concert held in the heart of the Theatre District that celebrates the end of the 2014-2015 Broadway season and adds to the festivities leading up to the 2015 Tony Awards®. The event in Shubert Alley, west of Seventh Avenue between 44th & 45th Streets, will consist of performances from this season as well as numbers from current long-running shows.
Nominations for the 2015 Tony Awards will be announced on April 28, and the 2015 Tony Awards will air on CBS on Sunday, June 7, 2015 live from the Radio City Music Hall in New York City. Get more info at TonyAwards.com. The Tonys are presented by The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing.
Between April 2 and June 7, visit the Tony Awards Pop-Up Shop at the the Paramount Hotel (235 W 46th St), the official hotel partner of the Tony Awards. The Pop-Up Shop is open seven days a week from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM and features t-shirts, pins, posters, mugs, sweatshirts, onesies, hats, binoculars, umbrellas and more, as well as merchandise from Tony-eligible shows from the 2014-2015 Broadway season.
The seventh annual National High School Musical Theatre Awards will take place on Monday, June 29, 2015 at the Minskoff Theatre on Broadway. The program will also include a week-long theatre intensive in New York City beginning on Wednesday, June 24 and running through Tuesday, June 30, 2015.
